Will: 8 year old
registered Morgan stallion. Bay. Very well trained and well-mannered.
Flame: 5 year old Quarter stallion, not registered.Very sweet, not
broke. Cryptorchid.
Rio: 5 year old Quarter stallion. Blown knee cannot be
ridden. Very sweet.
Charger: 10 year old Paint stallion. Never handled, not mean,
needs lots of time and patience.
Ochoco: 10 year old Paint mare from Wildlife Safari. Never
handled.
Lily: approx. 15 – 20 year old Arab mare (sorrel) broke to ride
but not a beginner horse.
Yasha: 16 year old registered liver Arab mare. Knees broken at one
point – cannot be ridden
Sterling: 4 year old ½ Arab ½ Quarter grey stallion. Not broke –
groundwork started.
Rory: 3 year old ¾ Saddlebred ¼ Arab stallion. Not started but
very smart and willing.
Chasca: 2 year old bay stallion from Wildlife Safari. Has never
been handled.
Lo Girl and Lolita: 39 year old Paint mares need to go
together. Sisters, never been separated.
Two bay mares from animal control. Still recuperating. Both halter
broke. Don’t know ages. One appears to have bad hips.
Rico: 19 year old white Arab gelding. Broke to ride. Loves to go.
Not a beginner horse.
Visa: 10 year old white/grey Paint mare. Has been handled, but
doesn’t like it.
Jasmine: 3 year old tri color bay filly. Been brushed and petted, not
halter broke or broke to ride.
Misty: 15 – 20 year old grey Quarter mare. Broke to ride, very
sweet.
Ike: 33 year old bay gelding. Blind
Annie: 30 year old bay Arab mare
Robbie: 30+ year old sorrel Arab mare
Sugar: 29 year old bay Appendix Quarter mare
Habib Al Ashab: 6 year old grey Arab gelding. Not broke to ride
Native Sun: 4 year old black and white paint gelding from Wildlife
Safari
Echo: 5 year old bay Thoroughbred gelding. Birth defect – cannot
be ridden.
Dancer: 10 year old bay Arab gelding – emotionally damaged. Broke
to ride but would require lots of time and patience to heal his mind.
Aziza: 5 year old bay Arab mare – not broke to ride
Button: 8 year old bay Quarter mare – ground work but not broke to
ride
Pearl: 4 year old black Standardbred mare – not broke to ride

State of
Georgia selling rescued horses
More than 24 rehabilitated horses will be sold to the highest bidder
beginning at noon, Saturday, February 6, at the Lawrence L. Bennett
Harness Training Facility in Hawkinsville. Prospective buyers will be
able to inspect the horses at 10 a.m.
Proceeds from the auction will go to the care and rehabilitation of
impounded horses. The Department of Agriculture -- which is mandated to
care for neglected horses -- receives no state funds to provide this
service. The care is funded through donations, volunteer support and
the proceeds from periodic auctions.
“These auctions are a win/win for everyone,” says Irvin. “The public
is able to purchase a healthy horse, the impounded horse gets a fresh
start at a new loving home and our rescue program obtains much needed
funding to continue its efforts.”

3 yr
Throughbred sale or trade - $75 (sterling)
I have a 3 yr old throughbred gelding for sale, $75 or trade for
hay. Chestnut color between 13/14 hands. This is a rescued horse so I
dont know alot about him. Was told he has had a saddle on him about a
doz. times, and had someone on his back a few times and didn't offer to
buck. Needs to go to a good home...he is very gentle. He's been wormed
twice in the last 3 wks, hes not to badly underwieght, but needed wormed

Morgan Quarter Horse Mare (Howell, MI)
Maggie
is a morgan/quarter horse cross. She is 18 years old, chestunt with a
big blaze. She is 14.2-14.3 hh. I am giving her away free to good home
because my husband says if she is not gone by the third sat in Dec. He
is taking her to the auction in vassar. She is a good horse, any one can
ride her. She is a supper easy keeper. stayed fat on grass all summer,
never once had to give her grain or hay. she has great feet, stays sound
bare foot. Even when I ride her down the road she never takes a miss
step. She is free to good home. Must go ASAP, please give this horse a
good home. She is in great shape and does not look her age. Would make a
great 4-H horse. Her only vice is that she can be pushy on the ground. I
took her as a sort of rescue the people that had her could not feed her
anymore, unfortunatly my husband has decided she is an extra mouth to
feed and we can’t keep her. Thanks

I want to give away my horse to a good
home!
Dusty is a 10 year old 15.1 hands buckskin gelding. I have owned him
now for a little over 3 years and he is my bestfriend. Unfortunately
I am pressed for $$$ and time these days and cant stand to see him
sit and go to waste. I know someone out there will be able to give
him more time and affection that he craves. I have had him
professionally trained in western pleasure, but he will ride english
and I have used him to team pen and many, many, many trail hours
have been put on his back. He has no vices to speak of and will run
right up to you if he sees you coming out to the pasture, even if
you have a lead rope with you. He just loves people and loves
working. He is 100% broke.
I have a few stipulations and would want to make sure it was a good
home of course.
*You must have another horse: Dusty was fine when i first brought
him home, no one had a horse for miles. My neighbor decided to get a
horse, when they saw how pretty dusty was, great. But when the fad
wore off and they sold their horse, Dusty got so depressed and
whinnied constantly. My other neighbor got a mini, thank goodness
and dusty was fine, just being a nose touch away from him. So you
must have or at least live near other horses ! I dont ever want him
that depressed again.
*You must live in the pasco/hernando area: I would love to visit him
from time to time and promise not to be a worried mom. I would need
to know he would stay with you or at least if you needed to find him
another home, stay within my driving distance. I promise to visit
only when I have arranged it with you and I would not need to ride
him or anything, just sit and talk/visit with him. As this would be
painful for me, my visits will be very few. I would not be a bother,
I promise.
Has had all his shots/coggins/worming and comes with a complete
history and all of his registration paperwork from AQHA & IBHA &ABHA

great reduction on board ($175 per month) board includes a stall, all
hay and grain, bedding. we clean the stalls every day and turn the horse
out to pasture during the day, and stall her in the the evening. I will
take full daily care of your horse (that is included with the $175) all
you have to do is come out and ride your horse. no calling ahead. just
come out and visit.
The gelding available is a teenage paint gelding (15.2 hands tall) has
shown english, western, trail rides. Very well broke and quiet. suitable
for a rider who has some basic horse knowledge or is willing to take
(free) lessons with me until you are knowledgeable. The other horse
available is a bay mare. ANYONE can ride her. she is very quiet and
gentle and can babysit the most scardest beginner, very calm and sweet
mare. she has spent years and years on a ranch being a work horse, she
has seen everything there is to see, which is why she very very rarely
is startled by anything. usually she is half asleep in whatever she
does, but has NO problems getting up and going (Canter) for a rider who
wants it. she is suitable for any type of rider
Free riding lessons are included (weekly) if you are a beginner until
you are comfortable to move on with him on your own

Tennessee
I got a 9 yr old Mustang mare last week. She is blind in one eye and
very skittish. If you have good strong fence and would like her, she's
yours if you can catch her. She has torn down my electric fence twice
and broke a tie rope today. I can't keep her up and my neighbor has been
catching her and returning her. I would love to see her go to a
good home. She's an excellent brood mare.
